In an brief item on WBUR.com, Marion McEttrick responding to the Quincy City Council’s unanimous vote to opppose the construction of the turbine, states. “We do not agree on this issue at this time, but we haven’t even had a chance to discuss it with the city council or the mayor. It may be that after some discussion, we’ll find out that there’s more common ground than they think.” (Read the full article here.)
Separately, Rich Kleiman, Chairman of Milton’s Wind Energy Committee, wrote the Ledger in response to the law suit filed by Quarry Hills Associates against the town. Kleiman writes, “It is difficult to comprehend why QHA would obstruct a town from producing clean, renewable energy and reducing the residential tax burden simply because QHA thinks golfers won’t like the way the turbine looks.
