MHS Bulletin for 03.27.09

  • It’s that time of year again!  Sign-ups for the MHS Annual UNO Tournament are ongoing through March 31 in Mr. Burke’s room (119).  There will be no late sign-ups!!
  • All Poets in Poetry Jam 2009:  Mandatory reading workshop today in room 211 and don’t forget the mandatory rehearsal on Saturday from 12-3 in the auditorium.
  • Now through March 31, the Language Department will be collecting funds for our sister school in Burkina Faso, Africa.  These funds will enable students to attend school and also will give them at least a meal per day.  Collection will be taken in language classrooms and at lunch.  Checks may be made out to Milton High School.  Just a little thought from Mrs.
  • Girls who ordered Hurdle t-shirts must pay Chelsea by Friday or shirts cannot be ordered.
  • All returning Varsity Soccer players must have their CATZ forms filled out and returned to Mr. Borde’s room (227) by Friday.
  • Ping Pong Club free play and tournament – if enough sign up by the end of the day today. The final tournament of the year will be played on Friday 4/3. Arrangements will be worked out with coaches so that all Ping Pong Club members can compete for the Club Grand Championship. This will be the BIG ONE!
  • For those who signed up for the Collicot PTO 5th grade pot luck at Cunningham Hall  please arrive before 6 pm this evening.
  • Spanish Club members, please meet in Mrs. Queally 313 right after school on Monday to discuss next field trip.
  • Fashion Show male models are to meet in Mr. Costa’s room for Mr. Tux fittings in Quincy after school.
  • The Environment Club will hold a mandatory meeting on Monday, March 30.  We will be discussing t-shirts and planning cleanups and trips.  New members are welcome.
  • Registration deadline for the May 2 SAT’s is Tuesday, March 31.  Milton High is a test center for this administration.
  • The 3C’s Club are selling t-shirts, hoodies, tank tops, capris, and flannel pants with          the 3C’s logo and a Wildcat pawprint.  See Mr. Costa or club officers.
  • All students who submitted to The Echo, please join us for an important meeting next Wednesday, April 1 in room 220.
  • There will be an Irish American Club movie afternoon on Wednesday April 1st immediately after school in Ms. McDonough’s room 118…Bring any snacks you’d like to share with the group.
  • Invisible Children’s Club will be hosting a rock band tournament on Thursday, April 2. Admission $4 at the door (213).  Food and drinks available.
  • All Spain travelers need to get in their checks for $97.50 by April 9, 2009!
  • The new Book Club discussion book will be Born Confused by Tanuja Desai Hidier.  We will meet on Monday, March 30.   Everyone is welcome.
