In Sync Center of the Arts is gearing up for a festive season of creative arts education! Fantastic art teachers will be conducting classes to inspire creative minds and create wonderful holiday keepsakes and gifts in a number of workshops throughout this holiday season.

Elizabeth Coughlan, fashion and textile designer and college professor from Cork, Ireland will teach our Fashion Fridays! series. These are 3 hour fun, interactive and informative workshops on Friday evenings featuring designers who have made their mark on the international fashion industry; Lady Gaga, Coco Chanel, Manolo Blahnik and Lily Pulitzer. These classes are geared for 9-12 years olds and will run Fridays from 5-8pm throughout December and include all materials and dinner. ($45/class members, $50/class non-members)

For the three to five year olds we are pleased to announce that Ginny Brearley from Ginny’s Art School will be here to teach a series called Look What I Made! Ginny is a certified art teacher with 15 years experience. This five week program is running from Nov. 23 through Dec. 21st on Tuesdays from 9:30 – 10:30 and 10:30-11:30 with open enrollment. Ellen Berrahmoun’s 20 years of experience in art education and programming has her experience ranging from a Masters in Art Education from Harvard to Boston public schools, to the Boston Children’s Museum. Ellen will hold workshops full of perfect gift giving goodies. Holiday Gift Making is for ages 5-12 year olds from 11:30am-1:00pm on December 4th. ($25/members $30 non members). Light Up With Lanterns is a lantern making workshop for 5-12 year olds from 11:30am – 1:00 pm on December 11th. ($25/members $30/ non members). The Children’s Hand Plaques workshop is a class for you and your child to share together. Create a one-of-a-kind 3-D casting of your child’s hand. Then mount and decorate it for a priceless work of art – perfect for gift giving! Pre-registration is required ($25 for 1 hand/members $30 for 1 hand/ non members – add $10 for a second hand).
