Boston Globe columnist Joanna Weiss who writes a twice-weekly column for the Globe op-ed page will speak on current topics at a special program of the Sisterhood of Temple Shalom of Milton on Sunday afternoon, October 17th, at 2 PM.
Ms. Weiss and sits on the paper’s editorial board. Previously, she worked for the Globe’s Arts Department as a TV critic and pop culture reporter, was a prolific blogger about “American Idol,” and wrote a regular column about parenting. You can find a list of Ms. Weiss’s columns here.
Weiss has also worked as a metro reporter and covered local and national politics. Before joining the Boston Globe in 1999, she covered Louisiana politics for the New Orleans Times-Picayune. She studied history and literature at Harvard, and lives in Milton with her husband and two children. She is also a Temple Shalom member.
This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
