The Patriot Ledger reports today that in a conversation with Senator Joyce they were informed that the DCR is no longer considering trail options that cut over at Capen Street.

This will be welcome news to a majority of the residents of Capen Street many of whom had objected to plans that called for the trail to cross over from Milton to Mattapan due to concerns of safety, security, noise, and overall impact. There would have been significant tree removal. The concern was that these trees function as a natural noise buffer and their removal would result in irritating noise pollution
