- Students taking Advanced Placement exams are reminded that they must bring a #2 pencil and a ballpoint pen on the day of their test. Cell phones are NOT allowed in the testing room. Students who arrive late will NOT be allowed to sit for the exam. NO EXCEPTIONS. All students will report to the Library for testing except for the following: Computer Science and Music Theory. These will be in the Superintendent’s conference room (206). Students taking AP Exams are expected to attend school the full day, and will only be excused from classes missed which take place during their exam.
- If you are attending the Junior Prom on Friday, May 9 you must be in school the entire day.
- Juniors who purchased Prom tickets may pick up tickets starting after school today. Please come to Ms. Croce’s room before school, after school, or during activity period Wednesday or Thursday. You must sign a contract when you pick up tickets.
- Attention Seniors: Your caps and gowns are here! You will receive them at the senior breakfast but it’s important to pay for them as soon as possible. The price is $20 for the next 2 weeks. Please pay Ms. McDonough in Room 118 as soon as you can before the price goes up. Cash or check. Make checks payable to MHS.
- Senior Prom tickets are on sale before and after school in Ms. Diegoli’s room (116). The last day to buy tickets will be Friday, May 16th. Tickets are $50 per person.
- Attention all white water rafters! There is a mandatory meeting today after school in 211. Please be prompt.
- All Girls interested in playing Soccer next year, please report after school today at 2:30 to Mr. Borde’s room (227) for an important meeting.
- There will be an important meeting for the Tomorrow’s Teachers directly after school to schedule your last visitation for the year.
- GSA Meeting in room 311 after school today. A woman from Mass. Equality, an organization that promotes and defends marriage equality, will be stopping by to make a presentation. New members are always welcome.
- Attention Sophomores: You will be taking the Math MCAS exam on May 21-22. Want extra help? Go to room 127 after school today and tomorrow, and next Monday and Tuesday to prepare for the big test. Remember, passing the test is a graduation requirement.
- Extra books??? The National Honor Society will be holding a Book Drive through Friday. There will be a bin in the front office to drop off any new or used books. Donations will go to the children and mothers of St. Mary’s homeless shelter and their education center in Dorchester. Both children’s and adult books would be appreciated. Please see Mr. Cooper with any questions. Thank you.
- Seniors: If you have Book Money Obligations, please see Mrs. Kelly in the main office with your checks as soon as possible. Seniors who owe money for books from Grade 9 through this year, must return the books or pay for them. No senior will be signed out if they have outstanding book fines. Also, for those of you who have Outstanding Library Obligations, you must see Mrs. Ronan at the Circulation Desk before school, Monday-Friday 7:40-7:50 am or after school Monday-Thursday 2:19-2:40.
- There are many new and different Community service opportunities described on Edline. Sign-up sheet in guidance for Special Olympics event to be held at Milton Academy on May 18. The New England Sinai Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton is seeking volunteers for an eight-week summer program which will take place from Monday, June 30 through Friday, August 22. Participants will be asked to volunteer a minimum of one weekday morning or afternoon per week.
- Library Notice: Students are taking AP Exams in the library from 7:50 am – 4 PM – Monday, May 5 – Friday, May 16. Students can borrow or return books 7:35-7:50 am
