Patrick G. ‘Pat’ McDonagh, a lifelong Dorchester resident who became one of the neighborhood’s favorite purveyors of pizzas, calzones and sub sandwiches, died suddenly last Saturday at his Lower Mills home. McDonagh, 60, leaves behind his wife Maureen, two sons Michael and Patrick, and three sisters. (Read the full story here.)

There will be a neighborhood meeting on Thursday, June 6th from 7:00 – 8:30PM at the Keys Community Room in the Milton Public Library to discuss the recently filed 40B rental housing proposal for 131 Eliot Street.
Wednesday, June 26, 2013 6-8 PM Painter Linda Hurd will hold an open reception for her June exhibit in the Wotiz Gallery. Ms. Hurd uses her work to illustrate subjects that are difficult to understand because of her Attention Deficit Disorder. Through watercolor paintings, captions, and occasional humor, she works to present a unique way to see and talk about these dynamiic topics. Come and meet her, and view her lovely work.
The Milton Music Fest and Fireworks display scheduled for this Friday has a been postponed to Sunday June 9th, 5-9pm. Also, note that traffic will be closed on Adams street to all but local residents. Parking is available at Pierce Middle School and St Agatha’s with shuttle service beginning at 5:30pm.
