Milton tops Stoughton in American Legion play

Screen Shot 2013-07-08 at 6.55.34 AMRoy Chambers reports that last Friday, July 5, 2013, Milton Post 114 ( 7-8 ) played Stoughton Post 89 ( 5-6-1) on a hot sweltering day, behind the pitching of Duncan Finigan defeated Post 89 12-5. Finigan’s controlled pitching, striking out 9, kept the Stoughton players in a deficit throughout the hot afternoon’s game. You can view a great slide show of the game here.

20th Annual Ed Baker Fishing Tournament

The 20th Annnual Ed Baker Fishing Tounrnament will take place at Turners Pond from 7-11am on Saturday, June 15th, 2013

The entry fees are Youth $3.00 Adult $5.00

MHS Boosters Varsity Athletes Banquet

On May 29th at 6:00 pm, Milton varsity letter winners will be honored at the 35th annual Varsity Awards banquet sponsored by the Milton High School Boosters. Tickets for parents, siblings and friends can be purchased online at the Boosters website at www.miltonboosters.com. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children. Bring your paid receipt to the banquet – no tickets will be sold at the door. Seating starts at 5:30 p.m.

Soccer News: Real Boston a Real Bridge to Big Time

If the founding of the New England Revolution back in the mid-1990’s was the first step towards professional soccer in the region, then chapter two of the story surely begins this month in Easton, Mass, when the Real Boston Rams take the stage for what has become one of the most anticipated soccer ventures of recent years.

Yay! Milton Mites beat Franklin for A2 Championship

Milton won the 2013 South Shore Conference Mite A2 Hockey Championship Title. They played against the Town of Franklin on Sunday April 7, 2013 at the Canton Sportsplex before a sell out crowd. Congrats to the players and coaches.

Milton rolls on in MIAA Bball tournament play; beat Tech Boston Dorchester 53-50

If you didn’t believe in the Milton Wildcats Basketball team before you have to believe in them now. Who is afraid of this team – “Everyone”. I can’t believe how this team systemically broke down Dorchester and turned the game around to a win. Wow.

Milton will take on Wellesley in the MIAA South Division 2 semi-finals in Brockton on 3/6 @ 7:00PM.
