Fuller Village Open House
Fuller Village will be holding an open house June 30th. They have a number of units available and have recently expanded their offerings to a younger market. Historically, they served adults 65 and older. They have lowered the age to 55.

Tucker Neighborhood Association Meeting
The Tucker Neighborhood Association will be holding their next meeting at the Council on Aging on Walnut St. Monday, June 29th @ 7:00pm.
Michael Devin Memorial Road Race
There will be a five mile road race to benefit the Michael Devin Memorial Fund. Michael Devin was a Milton Police Detective killed in car accident on the Tobin Bridge. The fund will support Milton children and town programs.

Sponsor: The Detective Michael A. Devin Memorial Fund. Proceeds from the race fund scholarships, support juvenile athletic programs and provide assistance to families in need.
Course : Flat and fast for the first half. Hilly along the backstretch A little over a mile will be run along well trodden trails through the very scenic Turner’s Pond and Trout Brook areas.
Awards: Overall male and female. Three deep in high school, open, masters, senior, and 60 and over; male and female. No double dipping.
Prizes: All runners will be included in a raffle for gift certificates and merchandise prizes. Winners pick from the table in the order they are called. Runners must be present to win. The raffle will begin no later than 7:30
Raffles: Anyone interested may purchase raffle tickets on or before the race day. The raffle items are different than the prizes that the runners are eligible to win.
T Shirts: To all runners who pre-register before June 24, 2009. A limited number will be available for purchase on race day.

Cell tower crane test this week end
There will be a crane test this Saturday as part of evaluation of erecting a cell tower by the on/off ramp to Route 128 just past Houghton’s Pond. A New Hampshire firm is seeking to erect a tower on the site. The Milton plot of land is owned by the state. The crane test is intended to simulate how the actual tower will appear (i.e. it’s visual impact). The test will take place from 12:00 – 3:00pm.

It is hard to believe that it has been almost eleven years since our son, Ryan, at age nineteen, died at the Quincy Quarries in an accident related to alcohol. Last year on the 10th anniversary of his death, we felt that it would be fitting to remember him with a golf tournament to benefit The Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research (CeASAR) and more specifically, the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) at Children’s Hospital Boston.
Blue Hills Trailside Museum Celebrates 50 Years!
Come join Mass Audubon and the Commonwealth’s Department of Conservation and Recreation on Saturday, June 20, from 10 am to 5 pm to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Blue Hills Trailside Museum in Milton, Massachusetts. This free all-day event will have activities for the family throughout the day, including free admission to the museum.
There will be a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony at 11am to unveil the new outdoor exhibits area, which includes a new all-persons accessible walkway, and to celebrate the renaming of the Chickatawbut Hill Education Center. Attending the dedication will be Senator Brian A. Joyce (D-Milton), DCR’s Acting Director of Urban Parks Samantha Overton and DCR’s Regional Director Peter Church, and Mass Audubon President Laura Johnson. The Museum and its Education Center are run through a partnership between the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and Mass Audubon.
