Special Town Meeting to re-convene March 1

Special Town Meeting will re-convene on March 1rst at the Charles Winchester Auditorium at Milton High School.

Town Meeting will resume discussion of the Zoning overlay regarding the Temple Shalom property, the Wind Turbine and the blasting ordinance.

Yohannes Bayu, Director of African Refugee Development Center, to give talk

Yohannes Bayu, Director of African Refugee Development Center of Israel will be speaking at the First Congregational Church, 483 Canton Ave, on Frisay, February 26th @ 7:30pm.

The talk, co-sponsored by Temple Shalom and the Milton Interfaith Clergy Association, is free and open to the public.

MPS Saturday enrichment program registration

The Milton Public Schools are piloting a new Saturday enrichment program this coming March.

Funded with the generous support of The Milton Foundation for Education will offer a variety of classes that are “designed to give students a fun, structured and engaging learning opportunity on four consecutive Saturday mornings throughout the month of March.

“Many of you have read in the newspapers about Norwood hockey player Matt Brown, who was severely injured during a hockey game this season. Matt played in the Bay State League in which our Milton teams also compete.

Trailside Museum: Winter Raptors

Travel with Trailside Director and raptor researcher Norman Smith, to several Massachusetts locations in search of hawks, owls and eagles. Hopefully there will also be plenty of non-raptorial winter species to view, such as ducks, shrikes, snow buntings, and horned larks. Transportation will be provided.

The Milton Democratic Town Committee invites all registered democrats to the Caucus on Thursday, February 11th, Pierce Middle School Auditorium at 7 pm. The purpose of the caucus is to elect 20 delegates from Milton to represent the town at the convention on June 5th, Worcester Mass.
