A Design Public Hearing will be held by MassDOT to discuss the proposed improvements project under the “Safe Routes to School” program for the Glover Elementary School in Milton, MA.
The Milton Public Library’s teen book club has selected The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefavter as its November pick. “Nineteen-year-old returning champion Sean Kendrick competes against Puck Connolly, the first girl ever to ride in the annual Scorpio Races, both trying to keep hold of their dangerous water horses long enough to make it to the finish line.”
The 2014 Pumpkin Festival will be held Saturday, October 25 at 2:00pm First Congregational Church UCC Milton (www.fccmilton.org) in Milton, MA. This free event is open to everyone.

Early Monday afternoon, I received a text message: “We lost Chris.”
The day before that I was huffing and puffing my way up Milton Hill along with many others in a collective show of support for Chris Lynch and his family. The community’s collective love, good will and support for Chris and his family was heartwarming. Today is heartbreaking.

Beware! It’s coming! This Sunday marks the 16th running of the MFE’s Monster Dash and participants will be sporting T-shirts with a design by Pierce Middle School student Edward Enyedy.
I am not sure this made it past the sign review committee but clearly some folks are hoping that if Central Ave got paved, School Street can’t be far behind.
