Friends are helping Youth Hockey’s Phil Zona and you can too

Phil Zona is a longtime Milton resident and board member of Milton Youth Hockey, a tremendous program that has served thousands of children over the years. Phil recently suffered a significant injury at home. His friends are banding together to provide some financial support for Phil and his family during his recovery. Did Deval Patrick give Milton a helping hand?

Driving down Central Avenue, one of the main drags of this leafy hamlet, I used to curse Deval Patrick. The governor has been this town’s most famous resident, and yet in the four years I have lived here, Central Avenue has been an embarrassment of a thoroughfare, an uneven patchwork of potholes and torn-up asphalt. Library Book Shop Offers Expanded Winter Hours

Starting in January, the Friends of the Library Book Shop will open its doors on Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm. The shop continues to gain popularity with Milton readers who like a bargain. There are thousands of books and media on display, all donated by residents who keep their books in great condition.
