The Wakefield Estate will host its 5th annual Winterfire this Saturday, January 10, from 5:00 – 7:00pm. This annual event combines lightscape with landscape to highlight many of the estate’s signature trees and garden features against a deep mid-winter sky.

Driving down Central Avenue, one of the main drags of this leafy hamlet, I used to curse Deval Patrick. The governor has been this town’s most famous resident, and yet in the four years I have lived here, Central Avenue has been an embarrassment of a thoroughfare, an uneven patchwork of potholes and torn-up asphalt. Library Book Shop Offers Expanded Winter Hours
Starting in January, the Friends of the Library Book Shop will open its doors on Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm. The shop continues to gain popularity with Milton readers who like a bargain. There are thousands of books and media on display, all donated by residents who keep their books in great condition.
