November earliest end date for Adams Street roadworks

Walter L. McDermott, who has literally been doing a lot of the heavy lifting in town, is retiring after 40 years of service. It is rumored that he can bring a fire truck back from the dead and do more with a coat hanger and duct tape than most men can do with a garage full of tools.
Two years after agreement, Ponkapoag remains in state’s hands

Two years ago, state legislators gave the go-ahead for the state to solicit private contractors in order to manage the popular, but dilapidated Ponkapoag Golf Course, designed by legendary golf architect Donald Ross. Late last week, police in Milton, Massachusetts say three men went to Milton to buy a television that was listed on the Internet Web site Craigslist. When they got to the house to pick up the TV, one man was dragged inside and attacked, then robbed.
