Board of Appeals rejects cell tower at Camp Sayre in Blue Hills

The Zoning Board of Appeals has rejected T-Mobile’s request to put a 120-foot tall telecommunications tower at a Boy Scout camp at the edge of the Blue Hills. (Read the full story here.)
Meeting notes: Selectmen 06.17.10 p1– Representatives Timilty & Scaccia discuss Ulin Rink
At last night’s session the Board resumed the discussion of the Ulin Rink. In attendance were Representatives Walter Timilty and Angelo Scaccia who were there at the invitation of the board to discuss their views on Ulin Rink and the House legislation regarding it.

This is the latest in a series of art works created by students of FAVA (The Friends and Advocates for the Visual Arts). This week’s work is a cartoon strip by Timothy Karoff, a 4th grader at the Glover Elementary School. He created the cartoon while attending a FAVA workshop, “inking COMICs”.

Hearing on bike path tonight, opinions divided
The Board of Selectmen will be holding a hearing this evening to discuss the bike path extension under consideration by the DCR. The DCR intends to extend the bike path from Central Ave along the Neponset out to Mattapan Square will it will link up with the path there that runs along Truman Parkway.

Three suspects eyed by Milton cops caught in Bridgewater house breaks

Finding witnesses to a house break wasn’t tough. Police were following the suspects.
Lt. Chris Delmonte said Bridgewater police got a call from Milton detectives Monday around 12:30 p.m., saying they had some people under surveillance and the folks were headed into Bridgewater. (Read the full story here.)
