Neponset Rowing is offering a summer Learn to Row program for adults. The program starts the week of June 10th and runs for 4 weeks, 3 sessions a week. Boats launch from the docks at Milton Landing. You can learn more of the details and download the full registration packet here.

Here are some shots from yesterday’s Memorial Day Observance here in Milton. The featured speaker was Milton native Colonel Paul Burke of the U.S. Marine Corps. In these photos is one of Colonel Burke pinning the Purple Heart on Hyman Levy, a machine gunner who served under General Patton in Africa in WWII. Injured in battle he was recently awarded his Purple Heart.

MHS Wildcat Crew take Boys Varsity 4+ State Championship!

This past Saturday in a thrilling finish the MHS 1st Varsity 4+ boat won the MPSRA (Massachusetts Public School Rowing Association) Championships! They entered the final heat with only the fifth strongest qualifying time and were up against Cambridge Rindge and Latin (CRLS), a school that had been beating them all season.

Eleven teams of children decided this is what they want you to see as you drive and walk around town for the next month.

Man pleads guilty to robbing Milton bank, three others

Reminder: Milton Memorial Day Observance
Milton will hold its annual Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 25, 2015.
The American Legion Post #114 will begin its program with the raising of the flag and the placing of the wreath at 9:30AM at the Town Hall. Following this observance, participants will march to Milton Cemetery for the customary ceremony that will begin at 10AM.

St. Mary of the Hills School Walks for Haiti
On Sunday, May 18th, the St. Mary of the Hills School community came together for the 4th annual “Walk for Haiti.” The event drew around 150 people, 20 of which were former SMH students and alumnae. The walk consisted of a new 5 mile route around the town of Milton.
