Heading into union offices, Lynch says ‘final decision’ on Senate race after Kerry confirmation

Stephen Lynch, who is one of Milton’s congressional representatives (the other is Mike Capuano), is waiting on Kerry’s confirmation before announcing a decision on whether to run for Kerry’s senate seat. Capuano has stated he will not run and US Attorney Ortiz who had been mentioned is highly unlikely at this point as she deals with the firestorm of criticism of her office’s handling of the Schwartz affair. Perhaps most interesting to Milton is what will happen with Lynch’s seat should he run and win. Read the Dorchester Reporter coverage of Lynch’s decision here. Meanwhile the presumed Republican candidate, Scott Brown, has yet to announce and that is making some in the party nervous as reported in today’s Globe.
