Quick notes on community forum held by Milton Police; anonymous tip email tip line in place

by Frank Schroth

The Milton Police are grateful for the turn out at last night’s event: “THANK YOU to everyone who attended tonight’s Community Forum at the Concord Baptist Church. Your numbers tell the story about the character of your neighborhood. Each of you is a credit to this community. Thank you again for taking such a vital role in your Town.

One measure they have taken is the launch a NEW Crime tip email line. This email will take anonymous emails to a special crime tip account. The Milton Police will not follow-up or attempt to identify the tipster. The police urge ALL residents who may have an issue Re: crimninal activity, neighborhood quality of life concerns, or any other information that might be useful to the police to email: crimetips@mpdmilton.org

The Patriot Ledger reports:

A team of two police officers will be dedicated to patrolling the streets between Blue Hill Terrace and the Boston city line starting Monday, Milton Police Chief Richard Wells Jr. said.

Patrols of the area, the scene of three recent shooting incidents, have already been increased, he said.

“We’re going to put a lot of resources here,” Wells told more than 150 residents and town officials who attended a community meeting at the Concord Baptist Church on Monday night. (Read the full story here.)
