A Norfolk County grand jury indicted the son of a prominent developer today in the December roadside shooting of an off-duty Milton firefighter in Quincy. (Read the full story here.)
The Forbes House held its annual Fundraising event at the Hoosic Club on May 13th and it was quite hilarious.
Although I fully understand parents’ concerns about possible relocation from their neighborhood school, I was an overflow, relocated kid and loved it.

Five-year-old Alex Carrigan pedaled as hard as he could, but he just could not get his Hot Wheels bike through the obstacle course. Over came dad though, and with a push, Alex’s training wheels were over the bump and heading up the ramp. (Read the full story here. Includes some nice photos)

Milton native James Shields would be a much welcomed guest to a party.
“He was the life of any party he was at,” Shields’ brother, Milton Selectman John Shields, said Sunday. “We are really going to miss him.” (Read the full story here.)
A wake will be held Wednesday at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church.

Milton lost an exemplar of community service this past week, David Jeffries.
Mr. Jeffries was an accomplished scientist, sailer, active environmentalist, and a town meeting member for over 50 years; but that’s not all.
