If you are a runner or jogger in Milton, this is the event of the year. It is a very fun and challenging run. You can still register and support Junior Women’s Club and their causes which include a scholarship for Milton High School students. Get out there!

Library gala stirs up wind-power tempest in teapot

But for a while, the organizers of the library’s major fund-raising event — the Sixth Annual Literary Gala — worried their plans might be blown off course by the controversy swirling around a town initiative to build a windmill near the Granite Links Golf Club at Quarry Hills. Sports Update: MHS baseball moves on, softball knocked out

The MHS baseball team shut out Stoughton yesterday 5-0. They take on Duxbury Monday. (See Patriot Ledger coverage along with some nice photos here.)

Things did not go as well for MHS softball team, as Wicked Local Milton reports. They were knocked out of tournament play by Braintree 7-6. You can find the full story here.

Senior tax “work-off” program up for renewal

Easton officials: Joyce part of solution, not problem

Senator Brian Joyce’s involvement with a 40B development in Easton has received quite a bit of media attention. Several press accounts have questioned Joyce’s legal representation of the firm that eventually won the contract to develop the property.

Art: Pegasus flies!

This is the latest in a series of art works from students of FAVA (The Friends and Advocates for the Visual Arts). This week’s work is Laura Braithwaite’s depiction of Pegasus, the Winged Horse. Pretty amazing.

Cunningham Collicot getting greener

Schools are continuing get greener. There will be a significant installation of solar panels on the Collicot Cunningham schools. The high school already has solar panels installed.
