This is the latest in a series of art works created by students of FAVA (The Friends and Advocates for the Visual Arts). This week’s work is a cartoon strip by Ella Zimmerman, a 2nd grader at the Glover Elementary School.

(MILTON) On Saturday, June 19, the Lennon Senior Division Championship matched up the #1 Seed Diamondbacks vs. the #3 Seed Rockies.  The Rockies returned to the championship for the third straight year and hoped to repeat as champions. 

Fired firefighter seeks arbitration with town

The Milton firefighter who was fired for insubordination and unbecoming conduct – after being shot while off duty last December – has withdrawn his Civil Service appeal.

Instead, Joseph Fasano will go into arbitration with the town, his attorney said. (Read the full story here.)

Texting and testing of elderly drivers moving closer to being a law

The House finally took action and voted 150-1 to ban texting while driving and require that people who turn 75 renew their licenses in person and have their eyesight checked every 5 years. Drivers under the age of 18 are banned from using cell phones except in the case of an emergency and all drivers regardless of age are banned from texting.

Condos, commercial space planned for old Hendries Ice Cream
