The Kohl’s Corporation has a program called Kohl’s Cares which benefits a number of social issues including health, the environment etc. Currently one of those initiatives is focused on education . . . East Milton traffic snarl
As of 8:15AM this morning (8/24) East Milton is in a bit of traffic snarl. Sections of Admas Street and Centre Street are closed and the result is traffic backed up on Brook from St Agatha’s to the light at Pleasant Street. Edge Hill is not much better withtraffic backed up to Governor’s Road.
Consolidated Facilities initiative making progress
The Consolidated Facilities committee met last week to review the most recent revisions made to the Memorandum of Understanding between the School Department and town. It is moving forward.

Curry College wins bid to manage the Ulin Rink
Thursday night the Board of Selectmen voted to award Curry College the opportunity to manage the Ulin Rink. An agreement needs to be drafted and signed before they will officially assume day to day responsibility for the rink. Selectmen hope to see open September 15th.
Boston Archdiocese defrocks 2 priests

Mtg notes: Selectmen 08.19.10 – Ulin Rink decision pending (today?); Article 2 reviewed
In a meeting last night of the Board of Selectmen they reviewed the status of Article 2 of the Special Town Meeting Warrant which pertains to the height of accessory structures such as garages. They also went into executive session for purpose of reviewing the bidders on the Ulin Rink RFP, Curry College and the Ulin Rink Management Corp.
