Discover history and culture from ages long past. Expect to meet live animals, learn oral history through storytelling, and make a cool craft. Attention scout groups! This program will meet many patch/badge requirements.

Milton reaches new cable deal

Comcast has reached a new, 10-year license agreement with Milton to provide cable TV service in town. In Randolph, a decision on cable TV licensing has been postponed until next month. (read full story)

Milton Monster Dash This Weekend!!

The 10th annual Milton Monster Dash takes place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2008 from Cunningham Park on Edgehill Road as several hundred participants – from the competitive to the costumed – run, jog and walk the course to raise money to benefit the Sam Cichello Memorial Fund, which supports science enrichment in the Milton public schools.  Check out the details here.

Police arrest three after Milton burglary

Three people were arrested following a burglary Friday at a home on Franklin Street.

Deputy Police Chief Paul Nolan said police went to the home around 2 p.m. Friday after a neighbor reported seeing three men in the back yard. (read full story)

“I have this family of crows that hangs out here, five of them,” he says. “When they start up like this, I usually give them some bread or something. We used to have big flocks, but then they got West Nile and the crow basically disappeared from Massachusetts. So you gotta feed the crows.”(read full story)

Special pension for injured Milton firefighter approved

Town meeting has approved a special disability pension for a Milton firefighter gravely injured while on duty.

Under the proposal, which now goes to the state Legislature for approval, Firefighter Antonio Pickens of Brockton will receive a tax-free disability pension equal to his full base pay. (read full story)
