The Plate to open restaurant at Fruit Center Marketplace

We have a big announcement we’d like to share with you. In October, Marketplace Cafe, our restaurant at our Milton location, will be closing. The space will be renovated and early next year a new restaurant will launch.

The Plate Kitchen @ Milton Marketplace will be operated by Suzanne Lombardi, current owner of The Plate on Central Ave in Milton, and founder of Dancing Deer Baking Co. The Plate Kitchen will feature a drink bar, fresh baked goods and pastries, locally-roasted coffee and made-to-order juices as well as full breakfast and lunch menus and Sunday brunch. Suzanne is committed to operating a “green” business and supporting local food producers. We’re thrilled to have Suzanne working with us and we’re eagerly awaiting the opening of The Plate Kitchen!

In September, we’ll be featuring some of our favorite local cookbook authors. Check the schedule below so you can meet each author and purchase a signed copy of each author’s latest book.

(If you have any questions or concerns about the closing of Marketplace Cafe or the 2015 opening of The Plate Kitchen, please email me, Michael Dwyer, at mdwyer@fruitcentermarketplace.com)

    Considering its location …. it is the ” Upper Plate”…. 😉 ?

Good to see people investing in restaurants in Milton. Time to challenge Hingham.
