Plans are well underway for our 3rd Annual FIT FOR LIFE WALK/RUN which will take place on Saturday, October 5th, at 9 AM. This is the Council on Aging’s major fundraiser for van transportation. Last year, they added many other components to the walk which really helped make it a financial success.
So, in addition to being a participant for just $25, you can also be a sponsor. The COA plan to have signs along the route and you can select your own wording for the sign. The cost of a sign is just $100. We are also going to have a raffle during the event so we are in dire need of raffle items. Gift certificates, sports tickets, or any type of service certificates are always great or you can just make a general donation to the fundraiser. Raffle tickets will be available at the Senior Center starting in mid-August. All donations are tax deductible. They are more than happy to pick up any donation. Checks should be made payable to the Friends of the Milton Council on Aging.
We hope you will consider our request for help as we know firsthand just how important it is to keep this service in place for our seniors. Please be assured how grateful they are for this help when they need it most.
