I [heart] Milton: Artspace Milton Shares the Love

February 15, 2013

hearts5Even Governor Patrick started his day with a Valentine smile. The Central-and-Eliot business district had been hearted overnight to celebrate the occasion, and local folks were greeted with Valentines everywhere. From small to huge, papier maché Valentines in red and pink, calico and modern hung from the trees that line the streets. A Valentine’s mobile shimmered in the breeze. One big Valentine created by Thacher Montessori School even has a dangly fringe of color-coordinated Valentine beads!

And everybody loved it. Gian-Carlo Francesconi of Radio Coffeehouse, a supporter of Artspace Milton and many local endeavors, was spied entering his cafe before six this morning with a big Valentine smile. And Suzanne Lombardi, chef and proprietor of The Plate, reported that The Gov commented that he loved it, too. It just underscored the good week he’s been having. A passer by was heard to comments, “Did you see all the hearts hanging from trees in the square near plates, tinos and cakes? They are soooo festive and brought smiles to everyone who came by.”

Happy Valentine’s Day, Milton. We  ? you! Click on an image for a larger view.
