Due to the snow storm, the Wakefield Estate’s Backyard Chicken workshop has been rescheduled for this coming Saturday and there is still room for those who would like to attend. It will take place on February 16th from 9:00 – 11:30. It generally draws a “standing room only” crowd. Registration is required. This year’s session is designed for people who are interested in learning how to start a backyard chicken coop and grow healthy, productive chickens for years of enjoyment and fresh food. Suggested donation for the workshop is $15; space IS limited so please pre-register by calling 617-333-0924. After the indoor portion of the workshop, there will be a tour of the coops and chicken tractors on site, so dress accordingly. The session will be held in the estate’s farmhouse at 1493 Brush Hill Road. For more information, visit our website:www.wakefieldtrust.org.
