East Congregational Church will be holding a “Blue” Christmas service, a simple service of solace designed for those who have difficulty embracing the excitement and heightened joy of the season due to the experience of loss. This service contains none of the hectic commercialism of the season.  Participants are given a sacred space to acknowledge their grief and lament pain while honoring the memories of loved ones now gone and celebrating the endurance of love.

The Rev. Mark Seifried will lead this service which will consist of readings, prayer, silence, and the lighting of memorial votive candles.

The service will be held on Wednesday Evening, December 12, 7:00pm in the Chapel at East Congregational Church,  610 Adams Street in Milton; telephone  617-698-0270www.eastchurch.org. The public is invited.

The Chapel on the second floor is accessible from the rear parking lot. The church is wheelchair accessible and is an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ.
