Glen Koocher, Executive Director of MASC, was present to introduce the awards. He noted that 90 nominations for “Friend of Education” awards had been received and 3 were granted. Ms. Rosmarin was one. Mr. Pavlicek in presenting the award acknowledged Ms. Rosmarin as an unfailing advocate for all day kindergarten in Milton. Superintendent Gormley added, addressing Ms. Rosamarin, “your name has to be synonymous for what has to be one of the most successful full day kindergarten programs in the state.”

The Copeland Family Foundation was also recognized as a “Partner in Education.” It is only the 2nd time an organization has been recognized twice for the support of education by MASC. The Copeland Foundation has contributed to among other things the school rebuilding project, especially the Copeland Field House and Brook Field, the 350th celebration, and the Milton Public Library. Ms. Gormley accepted the award on their behalf.
