Penny Knight of Milton, Mass., was saddened when the large maple tree in her front lawn had to be cut down. It had sentimental value because it was planted when her first child was born. However, she noticed that her front lawn was flooded with sunlight. Tired of trying to maintain her failing front lawn, she decided to plant a vegetable garden right in the center of it.
