Stength of Chararacter Earns Two MHS Hockey Players Sportsmanship Award

Two Milton High School hockey-playing seniors were recently awarded the Hobey Baker Sportsmanship Award during a ceremony held at the TD Garden. Haley Dutton and Terrence Walsh were preseted with the award, which recognizes “strength of character both on and off the ice,” at The Sports Museum inside the TD Garden on April 9th.

Hobey Baker, who captained Princeton’s hockey and football teams in the early part of the 20th century, is a charter member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame, a member of the Princeton Hall of Fame and one of a handful of Americans to be inducted into Canada’s Hockey Hall of Fame.

Ms. Dutton and Mr. Walsh were chosen for the award based on their contributions to the integrity of the team and the outstanding skills they display in all phases of the game. Their scholastic achievement and superior sportsmanship were also factor into the award. Congratualations!!
