Sharing memories of Milton Village – You’re invited!

Do you remember the Milton Exchange – Preston’s Market – the Jenney gas station? How about the devastating fire in November 1953 which destroyed the Copley Building (or, as it was known to “old timers” – Crossman’s Stable)? And who remembers the flooding in 1960?

Did you buy ice cream treats at Hendrie’s? Do you remember trips to the drug store and being served by Rachel? Did you ever have dinner at the Milton Hill House before it became apartments?

And, of course, everyone remembers Walter Baker Chocolate Company. Were you one of the fortunate students who had the tour of the company – and received free chocolate candy?

Milton Village back in the day

The Milton Historical Society invites everyone to come and share their memories of Milton Village. The Historical Society will display photos of the Milton Village from our archives but it is so interesting when people share personal experiences. It’s “show and tell” time – bring your photos or other memorabilia to share with everyone. Come – on Wednesday, October 13 – and join in the trip down memory lane.

WHEN:   Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM
WHERE: Keys Community Room / Milton Public Library / Milton, MA
