Several organizations claiming to be affiliated with different police organizations are currently soliciting Milton residents by telephone to make contributions to their agencies. THIS IS A SCAM. Residents are warned not to give any personal information or donate money to them. The Milton Police Department has no affiliation with any organizations soliciting by telephone.

Four resign from local pension boards to protest new financial disclosure rules

Four members of local pension boards have resigned in protest over the state’s new financial disclosure requirements, saying that the questions about their outside income and debts were too intrusive.

Members in Andover, Dedham, Milton, and Southbridge have submitted their resignations, according to Joe Connarton, executive director of the state’s Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission. (Read the full story here.)
