Celebrate MILTON!

CelebrateMilton! is a registered nonprofit effort of Milton residents who actively encourage Milton’s diverse populations to appreciate and enjoy one another.

They sponsor many local initiatives. Most notably, an annual event has drawn thousands of residents annually since its beginning 14 years ago. Our Community Builder Awards recognize residents who do an outstanding job of supporting our mission. Our annual financial grants encourage community support of that mission.

Greyhound Planet Day Celebration

Greyhound Adventures and Trail Bound Hounds celebrate Greyhound Planet 2008 with a leisurely hike around the pond followed by “bring-your-own” lunch (or food to share)picnic.

People and their leashed Greyhounds are invited to meet and socialize with other Greyhounds and their owners on Saturday, September 13 beginning at 11 a.m.

Meet at Picnic Site #5. Bottled water, soft drinks, picnic tables and goodie bags will be provided. Bring a lunch or food to share, grab your blanket and relax with your Greyhound(s).

Attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently used collars, leashes, harnesses, coats and non-liquid first aid supplies for a collection to be donated to “Scooby” – a shelter for our fellow Greys and sighthounds in Madrid, Spain that need medical treatment and refuge as they await adoption.

Milton High School Spring Concert

Come hear the Milton High School concert band, jazz band, chorus, and string ensemble perform their final concert for the year. This is always a wonderful night of music. Come and show your support Weds May 14 @ 7:00 at the Milton High School auditorium.

Open House & Kite Festival

Open House and Kite Festival, Blue Hill Weather Observatory, summit of Great Blue Hill. May 3, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Annual event features information on the history of the oldest continuously operating weather observatory in the country. Activities include rooftop viewing, weather demonstrations, kite-making and kite-flying, easy activities for children, weather exhibits, lectures, displays, and self-guided tours of the weather observatory. To access the activities at the observatory, walk/hike the 1-mile route to the summit. Free parking at the Trailside Museum south parking lot near the Blue Hill Ski Area on Route 138 in Milton.
