Letter: Improvements sought to Milton Riverwalk

To: Ms. Kathy Bowen, senior administrative clerk, Mr. John Kiernan, chair, Milton Conservation Commission

Tonight I attended the Conservation Commission meeting wishing to comment on the Milton Riverwalk at the Landing.
Since I was unable to find the right context for appropriate comment, I am writing to you all now.

The citizens of Milton deserve your support for opening our access to the Dorchester side of the Neponset River.

Letter: Yovino questions environmental impact study

from Paul Yovino, this letter was also submitted to the Boston Globe

Letter To The Editor:

Regarding the proposed flight changes at Logan Airport which would bring departure flights over Milton I have read that proposal’s defining document , The Boston Logan International Airport Runway 33L Area Navigation Standard Instrument Departure Environmental Assessment Draft , several times and it seems purposely vague as to the airplane noise impact on the variously affected cities and towns.

Letter: Larson questions TSA judgement

from Malcolm Larson

Every time I read about the TSA’s decision to now allow passengers to board aircraft with pocket knives I get crazy. Who are these TSA people, that we pay, that come up with such idiotic ideas? I have to put my tooth paste in my checked in luggage and take off my shoes, but I can carry a knife on board.

Letter: Senator Joyce seeks more thorough review of environmental impacts for proposed FAA runway

Dear Milton neighbor,

The FAA has proposed a new departure route from Boston Logan International Airport that would fly directly over Milton, beginning on March 7th.  This flight path will have a significant adverse impact on the quality of life in Milton, particularly for those of you who live near Curry College, Route 138, as well as parts of Canton Avenue and Brush Hill Road.

Letter: Parents request French Immersion be deferred

from April & Mike Lamoureux, Milton Parents

Dear Superintendent Gormley and School Committee Members:

As a parent of two young children who have yet to enter the Milton Public Schools (MPS), we are gravely concerned with the School Committee’s plans to vote next week to cap the French Immersion Program and institute a lottery that randomly selects students for access to this valuable resource.
